Challenges in the field of iPSCs-derived tissue engineering include the construction of thick and complex tissue structures. Combining therapies using iPSCs and growth factor release from polymeric scaffolds tailored to promote angiogenesis and cardiogenesis, we develop vascularized cardiac grafts for therapeutic applications. The pluripotency of stem cells is used to create multi-cellular tissue-structures and induce tissue organization during cellular differentiation.
